Regarding the locus of control, it should be noted that during the review of research data, three tendencies were identified in the study of this phenomenon in patients with cancer: 1) the positive role of an internal locus of control during the disease, contributing to a positive trend in recovery (Goldzweig et al., 2016; Van der Biessen et al., 2018); 2) the positive effect of an external locus of control on the state during treatment and its outcomes (Allart et al., 2013; Cousson-Gelie, 2014; Lima et al., 2018); 3) the absence of a correlation between the locus of control and various aspects of cancer (Iskandarsyah et al., 2014).
