Although these guidelines have existed since 2013, MDR-TB cases have shown an increasing trend, especially during 2017 and 2018 because territorial entities have strengthened their diagnostic capacity and identified more cases or because the actions carried out for control have not been sufficient and it has not been possible to cut the chain of transmission.
