In the current study, we measured the villus height, crypt depth and V/C of the jejunum, which in the DSS group did not significantly differ from those in the CON group; however, villus height and V/C had a decreasing trend, indicating that the DSS dose did not cause intestinal necrosis, but caused a significant decrease in BW and FITC-D and an increase in the content of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which can be used as a model of intestinal inflammation for further study.
