Speech audiometric results With the new speech processor, the Freiburg Monosyllable Test showed a highly significant improvement in speech comprehension in quiet at 65 dB and 80 dB compared to the previous processor (mean difference 8.9 ± 25.9 percentage points and 8.1 ± 29.7 percentage points, respectively, p < 0.001, Fig. 1 ).
