The results demonstrated that miR-140-y mimic resulted in a highly significant reduce in TCF4 mRNA and protein expression ( p < 0.01), while miR-140-y inhibitor resulted in a highly significant increase in TCF4 mRNA and protein expression ( p < 0.01) in GEDFs, suggesting that the miR-140-y mimic can suppress the expression of TCF4 and that the miR-140-y inhibitor could elevate its expression ( Figures 6 E–6G).
