In this study, the male gender was highly significant (BLR, MLR, FLR) and increased > twofold odds of ASD compared to HC which is in similar line with several previous studies ( Krakowiak et al., 2015 , Oommen et al., 2018 , Maia et al., 2019 , Soke et al., 2019 , Gil-Hernández et al., 2020 , Hegazy et al., 2021 ).
