TB incidence in Poland has been characterised by a decreasing trend since the beginning of the National TB Register ( Krajowy Rejestr Zachorowań na Gruźlicę) in 1957 with a 5.2% decrease in 2018 compared with 2017 (5,487/5,787 cases) and 33.4% compared with 2009 (5,487/8,236 cases) [ 13 ].
