The levels of cell death were plotted as a function of the relative activity of calpain‐2 for all the animals (Figure 3D ); there was a highly significant correlation ( r 2 = 0.84) between the levels of calpain‐2 activity and the level of cell death [similar to what we previously reported for NA‐101 22 ], further supporting the conclusion that calpain‐2 activity is responsible for cell death following TBI. 3.4.
