3.5 Speech and language development A positive trend in speech and language development was observed over the 12-month period in most patients, with half the patient population speaking Sentences at 12 months, three patients (25%) speaking 1–3 words and two patients (16.7%) speaking 10–20 words ( Table 4 , Figure 4 ).
