At 2 years the baseline- and gender-adjusted Constant score was on average 3 points higher (CI -3 to 9) for group 3 (76 points; range 56–96) in comparison with group 2 (68 points; range 26–85) and 7 points (CI 1 to 13) compared to group 1 (68 points; range 40–85 points), an observation however that showed only a statistical trend but no significance ( p = 0.088) (Fig. 5 ).
