Overall, there were more infections in the studies (7 out of 13) involving IVH compared to ICH but there was an overall trend towards decreased infection in fibrinolysis arm in IVH. 11 , 22 , 26 In the CLEAR III trial, 11 ventriculitis was significantly less in the fibrinolysis arm.
