In the first randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study of psilocybin there was a trend towards significance, although due to the limited number of participants, there was no statistical significance in using psilocybin for the treatment of cluster headaches. 12 Interestingly, these studies observed extended pain relief even after psychedelic administration has ceased.
