Furthermore, our meta-analysis revealed a notable trend and suggested that individuals with sarcopenia in SpA tend to be of advanced age (42.3 vs. 40.9 [ 21 ], 32.6 vs. 36.6 [ 28 ]), have a longer duration of the disease (11.6 vs. 9.3 [ 21 ], 12.4 vs. 6.9 [ 28 ]) and a lower BMI (21.6 vs. 25.3 [ 21 ], 24 vs. 28.8 [ 17 ], 20.1 vs. 28.4 [ 28 ]).
