These results suggest that while evolutionary rates drop throughout Sphenodontia as found in previous studies, Sphenodontia experienced a slight trend towards increased rates in some clades during the Jurassic (see Pleurosaurus goldfussi , Kallimodon spp., and sapheosaurs).
