The crude incidence rate of BI events (TIA or ischemic stroke) per 1000 person-years was a marginally significant one-and-a-half-fold higher in participants with PACs (8.0 (5.9–10.7)), compared to participants without PACs (5.3 (4.8–5.8)), and a statistically insignificant one-and-a-half-fold higher in participants with AF (7.9 (4.9–12.0)), compared to participants without AF (5.4 (4.9–5.9)).
