Of note, in patients treated within 90 days from COVID-19 onset (group A), improvements in smell and taste appeared to plateau around three months of observation (T3), while the other groups showed an increasing trend of functional recovery over the entire observation period, without reaching the improvement achieved by group A patients (Figures 2A - 2B ).
