The coefficients for individual variables in this type of model are not straightforward to interpret but the results indicate that the FROM-16 question responses most likely to be related to EQ-5D question responses are generally highly significant; for example, responses to the FROM-16 ‘effect on family activities’ question are significantly related to the responses to the EQ-5D ‘usual activities’ question but not to responses to the EQ-5D ‘mobility’, ‘self-care’, ‘pain/discomfort’ or ‘anxiety’ questions; similarly, the FROM-16 responses to the ‘effect on family relationship’ question are significantly related to the responses to the EQ-5D ‘anxiety’ question.
