6 EG (in the range of 46.28%–52.21%), associated with an increasing trend in the percentage of goals conceded in relation to the responses of the teams that were defending against the 7 vs. 6 EG attack (range 28.3%–53.13%), leads to the interpretation that the teams went from a less structured and trained phase of using 7 vs. 6 EG to a phase of adaptation to this new rule.
