They studied survival in a cohort of 749 patients divided into three age groups: < 40 years, ≥ 40 to ≤ 60 years, and > 60 years, and found the difference in survival between the first two groups and between the first and last group to be statistically significant ( p < 0.05), though the difference between the two older groups failed to reach significance.
