When remnant cholesterol was modeled as a categorical variable, we also observed a U-shaped association, whereas we did not observe a significantly greater or lower risk in the other three quartiles than in the lowest quartile, despite a favorable trend toward a lower risk in the third quartile [Q3: HR (95%CI): 0.67 (0.42-1.07)].
