Even though in our center alcohol consumption and HCV infection were the leading causes of HCC, we observed, in the four-year period analyzed, a decreasing trend in the relative weight of HCV infection (from 30.9% to 22.5% of cases) (both in treated and active HCV) and, on the other hand, an increase in ALD- and MASLD-related HCC.
