We found a highly significant negative relationship (p < 0.0001) between the proximity of consecutive foraging sites at pair level and the mean invertebrate abundance, suggesting that snowfinches return to the same patch also when the mean invertebrate abundance is high, while the opposite trend was found in relationship to invertebrate richness.
