Interestingly, eight JAZ subfamily genes ( PaJAZ1 , PaJAZ6 , PaJAZ7 , PaJAZ8 , PaJAZ9 , PaJAZ11 , PaJAZ12 , and PaJAZ14 ) all showed an increasing trend from the S1 to S2 stage (peaking at the S2 stage), followed by a decreasing tendency from the S2 to S4 stage, with relative expression levels reaching their lowest level, except for PaJAZ12 , which was equal to the S2 stage.
