Differentially expressed genes between T-cells isolated at baseline/early atherosclerosis and advanced stages ( Figure S12A ; Table S11 ) as well as between asymptomatic and symptomatic carotid plaques ( Figure S13B ; Table S11 ) were examined for enrichment in the 135 STARNET tissue-specific GRN but were not found to be significant (false discovery rate [FDR]>10%), besides a borderline significance of the macrophage-subcluster enriched GRN122 (Figure 6 ).
