In patients with Crohn's disease, a marginally significant change in median (IQR) CRP concentration (g/L) was observed between baseline [4.0 (2.0–6.8)] and last follow-up [3.2 (1.0–4.7), p = 0.049, n = 47], whilst CRP decreased from 3.8 (1.0–5.0) to 2.2 (1.0–4.0) in patients with ulcerative colitis ( p = 0.02, n = 48).
