Examples of inappropriate statistical analyses included: (1) using a parametric statistical test for non-parametric data, (2) stating that a marginally insignificant statistical test was still statistically “significant,” (3) using a paired statistical test for independent groups, and (4) using multiple comparisons without employing any statistical correction.
