Several independent predictors of non-diagnostic CCTA revealed in our analysis may be significant, in part, due to their association with high coronary artery calcification (CAC), which is known to impair the diagnostic accuracy of CCTA. 15 , 29 For example, a higher CAC is more likely in patients who are older, diabetic, or hypertensive, 30–32 all of which were predictors retained in one or both of our final models.
