In a sensitivity analysis restricting the study population to those with a baseline comorbidity, a borderline significant inverse association with stroke incidence was observed with replacement of SFA from total meat by total dairy (HR: 0.86; 95% CI: 0.74, 1.00), whereas among participants with no or unknown comorbidity, no significant association was found (HR: 1.08; 95% CI: 0.87, 1.34) ( Supplemental Table 13 ).
