One study of a computer-based order entry intervention to calculate the 4T score before ordering tests for HIT found a nonsignificant trend in a reduction of inappropriate testing of those with low 4T scores, unlike our interruptive alert 2, which resulted in a significant 38.7% decrease in inappropriate testing [ 13 ].
