Although the "early" intervention group in TIMACS waited an average of 16 hours for catheterization, there was a notable trend towards benefit in the primary outcome, with a 2.1% absolute risk reduction in death, MI, or stroke (9.4% vs. 11.5%, RR 0.81, 95%CI 0.63-1.04).
