Notably, PA showed a decreasing trend in all trajectory groups from 1 to 7 days of admission and showed a cascading relationship with the risk of adverse outcomes, indicating that the faster the rate of PA decrease, the greater the degree of inflammatory response and organ function impairment, and the greater the risk of adverse prognosis.
