4.2.3 ARNI in HFpEF The PARAGON-HF trial evaluated Sacubitril/valsartan vs valsartan in 4822 patients with HFpEF, and found reduced rates of the composite primary outcome of total hospitalisations for HF and death from cardiovascular causes (rate ratio 0.87), albeit this narrowly missed statistical significance (95% CI 0.75–1.01; p = 0.06) [ 29 ].
