Furthermore, frequency of peripheral neuropathy, primary biliary cirrhosis and autoimmune hepatitis were also increased significantly, and the frequency of autoimmune thyroid disease increased close to significance. No significant differences were observed among common comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease and occurrence of malignancies ( Table 1 ).
