Introduction The HIV/AIDS pandemic has been a highly significant public health challenge in the world in the past decades. 1 In 2017, among the 36.9 million people infected with HIV worldwide, 25% were not informed about their disease, and less than 60% had taken any therapeutic measures. 2 The global goal is to put an end to the HIV pandemic by the end of 2030; as per the United Nations’ strategy, the set goals should be achieved by 2020.
