Our single-factor analyses showed a positive correlation between the frequency of resistance and the factor “nosocomial” in both the ERM (χ 2 = 17.28, df = 1, p < .001, Table 2 ) and ARM datasets (χ 2 = 6.52, df = 1, p = .010, Figure 4 , Table 2 ), and a nonsignificant trend toward a positive correlation between resistance frequency and indirect transmission in the ARM dataset (χ 2 = 2.66, df = 1, p = .102, Table 2 ).
