Our estimations reveal a decreasing trend in HCFC-141b emissions from closed-cell foams starting around 2023, which aligns with the decommissioning trend observed in PUR foams containing HCFC-141b used in appliances (Fig. 3b and Supplementary Fig. 14 ).
