Males showed an increasing trend in resection rates for proximal colon (1.05 (95% CI 1.01 to 1.08)) and a decreasing trend for both distal colon (0.96 (95% CI 0.93 to 0.99)) and rectum (0.96 (95% CI 0.94 to 0.99)) while females maintained stable trends across all anatomic sites.
