We observed generally consistent results when using CAC and ECC ≥75th percentile as dichotomous dependent variables, although statistical significance was restricted to CAC and ascending aorta for dietary calcium (adjusted OR: 0.66 [95% CI: 0.45-0.98]) and adjusted OR: 0.67 [95% CI: 0.46-0.99], respectively), and the association between dietary phosphorus and CAC became borderline significant ( P = 0.060) ( Table 3 ).
