For individuals with A1012G heterozygous status, a significantly lower odds ratio (OR: 0.046, 95% CI: 0.004–0.51, p=0.012) was observed for adolescent disease onset and sex (OR: 0.23, 95% CI: 0.047–1.14, p=0.07); a trend for females to have a higher likelihood of possessing the polymorphism being observed, although this association just failed to reach statistical significance.
