The gut bacterial communities of the two species of zokors showed highly significant differences in the abundance-based coverage estimators (ACE) index, Shannon index and Fischer phylogenetic diversity index, and the diversity of gut bacteria of M. psilurus was significantly higher than that of M. aspalax ( Figure 3 B–D).
