The course of EAE affected serum corticosterone levels in males throughout the disease, as they were significantly elevated at the onset (187.40 ± 17.33 ng/mL, p = 0.018) and peak (175.30 ± 26.98 ng/mL, p = 0.039), while an increasing trend was observed at the end of EAE (165.70 ± 32.47 ng/mL); however, statistical significance was not reached ( p = 0.081).
