Our results revealed that the elevated levels of serum LDH and ferritin were mostly associated and correlated with COVID-19 severity indicators such as the requirement for mechanical ventilation (with a highly significant p -value of 0.0062 and 0.0013, respectively), the presence of lung infiltrates (with a highly significant p -value of 0.0075 and 0.0371, respectively), blood oxygen saturation level SpO 2 < 93% (with a highly significant p -value of 0.0002 and 0.0018, respectively), and the need for intensive care unit (ICU) admission (with a highly significant p -value of 0.0001 and 0.0043, respectively).
