Exposure of rats to whole-body gamma irradiation at fractionated doses (2 Gy, four times, every 3 days) up to 8 Gy triggered a highly significant statistical decrease in Hb, RBCs, MCH, MCHC, WBC count, and platelet count ( P < 0.01) with a significant statistical decrease in the Hct %, MCV on the 14th day following irradiation process as compared to the control values ( P < 0.05).
