When we look into global data we find that the risk of PPD shows a U-shaped curve where the risk appears to be high for women below 24 years, then again decreases between 24 and 35 years and shows an increasing trend above 35 years.[ 22 ] In our study, the presence of postnatal complications had 1.13 times higher odds of having PPD.
