Male neonates with late-stage neonatal sepsis in China had the highest decreasing trend values between the two age groups stratified by country; however, a slightly increasing trend in DALYs due to short gestation (APC: −1.7; 95% CI: −2.0, −1.4) and low birthweight (APC: −2.3; 95% CI: −2.7, −2.0) was observed in both groups between 2013 to 2019.
