This is consistent with the results reported in the current study ( 20 ).Meanwhile, we also compared the six inflammatory indicators in T2DM patients after metformin treatment and found that all of them showed a decreasing trend, which suggests that the reduction of the inflammatory state in the body of T2DM patients after drug treatment may be related to the recovery of their blood glucose level and pancreatic islet function.
