At the end of follow-up, patients with IST showed borderline significant severe proteinuria (1.08 g/24 h vs. 0.44 g/24 h, p = 0.078); however, patients with IST had similar eGFR values (54.5 mL/min per 1.73 m 2 vs. 67.3 mL/min per 1.73 m 2 , p = 0.20), proportions of progression to dialysis (12.5% vs. 6.9%, p = 0.61) and composite kidney endpoints (18.8% vs. 9.7%, p = 0.38) compared with those not receiving IST among patients excluded due to proteinuria less than 1 g/24 h ( Table 2 ).
