Quantitative analysis revealed an increase in the number of Ki-67+ cells in the RMS of prenatally irradiated juvenile rats compared to age-matched control animals, which was highly significant in the elbow part of the RMS (control: 27.63 ± 1.16 SEM, MWR: 35.46 ± 1.48 SEM, p < 0.0001) ( Fig. 1 B).
