The results suggested that corticosteroid therapy may affect the short‐term prognosis of some AHF in patients with highly elevated inflammatory signs, such as CRP > 40 mg/L as a numerical trend. 29 They also reported that there was no evidence of harm associated with initiating new systemic corticosteroid therapy during an episode of AHF in the ED. 29 As is the case in other acute respiratory disease, and COVID‐19, a short course of corticosteroid therapy may limit the inflammatory response and, in turn, improve AHF prognosis.
