Miscarriage In a case-control study, strongly significant associations were reported between serum concentrations of PFAS (perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) and, especially, perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA)) and miscarriage, and almost significant associations with PFHxS exposure, while several studies reported no consistent link to miscarriage and stillbirths in a population with high PFOA exposure [ 79 ]. 3.4.3.
